Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if you're the right stylist for me?
Please take a look at my portfolio to ensure my style aligns with your vision. I specialize in elegant ponytails, glamorous waves, editorial waves, and sleek buns—if you love these looks, we’re a great fit!
Where are you based, and do you travel?
I’m a fully mobile bridal hairstylist based in Silverstream, Wellington, and I travel throughout the Wellington region, including Martinborough, Otaki, and Kapiti. I also travel nationwide for weddings across New Zealand. Travel fees are calculated from my home address in Silverstream.
How many people can you style on the wedding day?
I can confidently style up to 6 people per booking, depending on the complexity of the hair. For larger bridal parties, I can bring an additional stylist who works in collaboration with me or an assistant, subject to availability.
Do you have a minimum booking cost?
While there’s no minimum booking cost, I do require a minimum of 4 people per wedding booking.
How long should I allow for hairstyling on the wedding day?
I generally allow 1 hour for bridal styling and 45-60 minutes for bridesmaids and guests, depending on the complexity of the hair.
Can you start before 8am?
If an earlier start time is necessary, an early morning fee will apply.
Can I make changes after accepting the booking?
Once the booking fee is paid, services cannot be removed from the booking. However, additional services can be added at any time. Please note that adding more people to your booking may require an earlier start time, which would incur an early morning fee.
Is my trial included in the booking?
No, the trial is an additional cost.
When and where do trials take place?
As I’m a mobile hairstylist, I will come to you for the trial. If you don’t have a suitable location, I can book a studio in Wellington for an additional cost. Trials are typically scheduled on weekdays between 9am and 4pm, and I recommend booking your trial 4-8 weeks prior to your wedding date. Please allow up to 90 minutes for the trial.
How do I book in with you?
To book, please fill out an enquiry form on my website with as much detail as possible. I will respond within 48 hours with my pricing and a quote. If you’re happy with the quote, a 30% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your booking.
